Once I was searching for a shortest route of money earning. In that kind of search, one day I met a gentleman giving handouts near a metro railway station in Kolkata. His advertisement read like this ‘Earn rupees 20000 per month from home!’
Business was open for everyone, especially for students, housewives, and working professionals. After little interaction, looking my curiosity for money, he invited me to attend a function in a hotel. It was a gathering of his company fellows. Nice hotel, warm welcome, well dressed men and women, place was looking wonderful. I was excited, so the fellow new comers too. The organizers were very keen to introduce new comers to the crowd. I felt very happy after announcing my name on the stage. A big applause followed after my little words.
After listening to the couple of speakers I realized that the people there, were gathered to earn money. Their simple mantra was introducing new person to the company, get commission and expand your business. After that day I attended few functions or gatherings of that kind. One thing I liked was their way of communication.
In comparison, being from various backgrounds we all too search for a good platform to express our views. Finding a platform is always a tough job. If we have a good platform, getting good encouragement and inspiration is also tough.
I thank Alison Binney, the founder New Science Journalism Project, for making such a good initiative to gather science journalists from different parts of the world. Reading articles of science from the various parts of world is always interesting. We all are here, not to earn money but to share some quality science through good communication. Living in the era of face book generation we have plenty of options to share our ideas, views, and articles on science in a better way. Like the mantra of sales personnel, let’s share science, and expand our network in a systematic manner.
